Return Policy Overview

At CraftsJa, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes items may not meet your expectations. This policy outlines how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for products purchased through our marketplace.

Due to the handcrafted and often unique nature of our products, our return policy may differ from those of mass-produced item retailers. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

Return Eligibility

You may return most items purchased through CraftsJa within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • The item is in its original, unused condition
  • All original packaging is intact and included
  • All tags and labels are attached (if applicable)
  • You have proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom-made or personalized items (unless defective)
  • Food items or consumables
  • Digital products or downloadable content
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable"
  • Items that have been used, worn, washed, or altered
  • Sale items discounted 40% or more

Return Process

To initiate a return or exchange, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your CraftsJa account and navigate to your order history
  2. Select the order containing the item(s) you wish to return
  3. Click "Request Return" and follow the prompts
  4. Provide the reason for your return
  5. Print the provided return shipping label (if applicable)
  6. Package the item securely in its original packaging if possible
  7. Attach the return shipping label to the outside of the package
  8. Drop off the package at the designated shipping carrier

Return Shipping

Return shipping policies depend on the reason for the return:

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you received a defective item or an item different from what you ordered, we will provide a Prepaid by CraftsJa.

Returns for Other Reasons

For returns due to change of mind or other non-defect reasons, the return shipping is Paid by customer. The original shipping cost is non-refundable.

Note: Return shipping costs can be substantial, especially for international returns. Please consider this before returning items.

Refund Process

After we receive and inspect your returned item(s), we will process your refund or exchange. The time it takes to process returns varies by vendor, but typically follows this timeline:

  • Processing time: 3-5 business days after receipt of the returned item
  • Refund method: Original payment method
  • Refund timeframe: 7-14 business days for the refund to appear in your account (varies by payment provider)

You will receive an email notification when your refund has been processed.

Partial Refunds

In some cases, we may issue a partial refund:

  • If the returned item shows signs of use or wear
  • If any parts, accessories, or gifts included with the product are missing
  • If the original packaging is damaged or missing

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or variant, please follow the same process as returns. In the return request, indicate that you want an exchange and specify the details of the replacement item.

If the replacement item costs more than the original, you will need to pay the difference. If it costs less, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.

Please note that availability of exchange items cannot be guaranteed, especially for handmade or limited-quantity items.

Damaged Items in Transit

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Take photos of the damaged packaging and item(s)
  2. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at returns@craftsja.com
  3. Include your order number and photos of the damage

We'll work with you to resolve the issue, which may include sending a replacement or issuing a refund.

Vendor-Specific Policies

Some vendors on our marketplace may have additional or specific return policies due to the nature of their products. These policies will be clearly stated on the vendor's shop page and/or product listings. When a vendor's policy differs from our general policy, the vendor-specific policy will apply.
